The Holly finished its award season winning the Heartland Emmy for Best Documentary, as well as the University Film and Video Association’s award for Outstanding Merit for a documentary feature.
The awards were the 8th and 9th for the project, which includes the book by Julian Rubinstein that he began reporting in 2014.
Sharing the Emmy with Julian, who served as director and producer, were producers donnie l. betts and Dia Sokol Savage.
