The Holly received its 10th major award or nomination last week when it received a national Emmy nomination. The winners will be decided in New York on June 26.
At a time when corruption and collusion among federal officials is in the spotlight, we are heartened that this powerful story, which dramatically illustrates how corrupt partnerships between City Hall, police, informants and developers are fueling gang violence, continues to get national recognition. This is the 10th major award or nomination for this project, including seven for the film and three for the book, The Holly: Five Bullets, One Gun and the Struggle to Save an American Neighborhood.
We are also thrilled to see Rocky Mountain PBS get two of the five nominations for this category.
Thanks to the entire team and our supporters!
