The Holly Wins National Emmy!

The Holly won a national Emmy last week in New York at the 46th News and Documentary Emmy Awards. The film won for Outstanding Regional Documentary.

It appears to be the first feature length documentary film about Denver to win a national Emmy.

The award is the 10th for the project, including seven for the film and three for the book.

Director/Producer Julian Rubinstein was joined onstage by producers Dia Sokol Savage and donnie l. betts.

“This began as an investigation of a gang shooting involving a community activist that just didn’t add up, and it ended up with an eight year investigation,” Rubinstein’s acceptance speech began.
